Colorful Hand Made Egyptian Tapestry/Rug

This unique Egyptian art is a result of fusion between people and the black soil driven by the great River Nile for more than 7000 years to form one of the oldest known Civilizations.

This colorful hand woven Tapestry (or Rug) was made of wool to portray an Egyptian rural scene in a vibrant style.  It does not have a front or back, and is the same weave throughout.  Several of the knots are visible on the surface of the Tapestry, as you can see from the photos.

I acquired the Tapestry over 30 years ago by trading with an airline pilot that frequently traveled to Egypt.
